Wenzhou (Agenzia Fides) - Pray according to the intentions indicated each month by the Pope, the diocese, and the parish community, following each day the path indicated by the humility of Mary. This was the intention with which the new "Rosary Group" was formed on the first Sunday of Lent in the parish of Huangzhou, part of the diocese of Wenzhou, in the coastal Chinese province of Zhejiang.
During the solemn Sunday Mass, the first 45 women members of the Group, all wearing the Pilgrim of Hope scarf (with the Jubilee logo), received the mandate from the parish priest along with the Rosary and a reproduction of the "Miraculous Medal." The parish community participated in the simple gesture, with which all those present bore witness to their devotion to the Virgin Mary and the bond of communion and faith that unites them to Pope Francis, the Successor of Peter, who is about to celebrate the 12th anniversary of his papal election at the Gemelli hospital in Rome, where he has been admitted since February 14.
During the celebration, the parish priest emphasized the indispensable role of women in the family, the Church, and society. He also stressed that participation in the group strengthens faith and can encourage the practice of praying the Rosary within families. The 45 women members were organized into five small groups, each forming a "Rosary Chain," in which each woman prays a chaplet of the rosary. In addition, each member receives two specific intentions for their personal prayers: the Pope's monthly intention and another based on the needs of the diocese. (NZ) (Agenzia Fides, 12/3/2025)
